Christopher Titus

Christopher Titus always dreamed of becoming a stand-up comedian. He performed his first act at the Punchline in San Francisco before the age of 18. Subsequently Titus took his act to comedy clubs all over the country, drawing upon his personal experiences and family life for material. After reading a statistic that more than 60 percent of American families are dysfunctional, Titus realized that he is a part of the majority, and that many people could relate to his personal stories. To this end, he wrote a one-man play called “Norman Rockwell Is Bleeding,” delving into the never-ending supply of dysfunctional tales to share with his audiences.

This successful one-man show caught the attention of executives at Fox, among others, who then offered Titus a deal to create a sitcom based on his life. The result is “Titus,” a show reflecting the reality of Christopher Titus’s upbringing and its aftermath. The characters in his show are modeled after his family members, from his parents and brother to his real-life wife Erin. Even his decades-long passion for hot rods plays a significant role in the show.
